Translation Loss Records signs CITY OF SHIPS and co-release new record

Translation Loss Records are extremely excited to announce the addition of Richmond, VA’s CITY OF SHIPS to their roster! CITY OF SHIPS has been touring relentlessly since its inception in 2005, promoting self-released EPs as well as CD and Vinyl releases from independent Richmond, VA labels Forcefield Records and the Perpetual Motion Machine. The trio will embark on an extensive European tour this summer, first with label mates Rosetta and later joining The End Records’ Braveyoung (previously named Giant, from NC).

NACHTMYSTIUM's Doomsday Derelicts MCD To Be Released Next Month

In an update issued by the band: "We're proud to announce that we've licensed our own new EP, Doomsday Derelicts from our North American label, Century Media, to be released on our own in-house label Battle Kommand Records for release in North America! The CD will be at press shortly and we anticipate a release date of May 5th, 2009. This will be a limited edition release, and there will be a mail-order only version with additional items included. Wilmington, North Carolina eclectic metallers GOLLUM unleash latest full-length The Core today on Rotten Records! Recorded in Wilmington, NC at Umbilical Studios by guitarist Frank Stroehmer and mastered by Today Is The Day frontman Steve Austin at Austin Enterprise in Nashville, TN, The Core is dedicated to the memory of drummer Hunter Holland who died suddenly of heart failure just a short time after completing the drum tracks to the new record. "You helped lay the foundation and blueprint, then you left us with a gift," writes the band on their official MySpace page. "We will never forget. Thank you for the inspiration you have given each of us. Your beat goes on and forever with us you shall be."

BLACK ELK West Coast assault

Black Elk's quick assault on the West Coast kicks off this Tuesday. They'll barrel down the Pacific Coast and back, dropping six shows in five days and joining forces with Made Out of Babies, Intronaut, Kylesa and more along the way. If you are anywhere near the are, come maul and/or be mauled.
