Italian thrash-and-rollers IDOLS ARE DEAD recording new EP!

Italian thrash-and-rollers IDOLS ARE DEAD are in the works of recording a new EP.  Once again, the band has chosen Gabriele Ravaglia at Fear Studio to produce, and while the traditional thrash / classic metal sound off of their critically acclaimed debut, Mean, boosted IDOLS ARE DEAD’s sound as one of the hot acts to watch, expect their upcoming EP to have a much more brutal and aggressive sound, while at the same time, plenty of catchy hooks.  Experience counts, as the band features members of Addiction Crew (former Earache Records act), and have also done their time in influential Italian metal bands such as Electrocution and Folder.

Comments singer Mana: “We think it's pretty much a development than Mean. The new songs have more melodic choruses but at the same time more aggressive verses...”

Their debut album, Mean, has received great response.  Here’s what some are saying of the band called IDOLS ARE DEAD.

Rock Sound -
To Italy, it’s Idols Are Dead… Just as Trivium is to the USA and Bullet For My Valentine is to the UK.

The Metal Minute -
“Guitarists Alley X and Ico peel chunk chords like bags of tangerines while cutting a number of impressively raunchy solos on songs such as “Pain For Sale”, “Dirt” and “The Name Of My Rage”.

Lords Of Metal -
“Idols Are Dead managed to record an album that rocks from the beginning to the end.”

The Ripple Effect -
“Vocalist Mana gives just enough snarl to keep one from stealing his last cookie.”

Under The Gun Review -
“So many bands spend their lives claiming to be bringing back the rock, but Idols Are Dead are the first band I think can back up that statement.”
