Exodus – Exhibit B: The Human Condition (2010)

cover

Two years have passed since the so-so “Let There Be Blood” and now we have Exodus back in full swing. The band has managed to produce a very impressive album with “Exhibit B: The Human Condition” that it reminds us of their earlier days, but with that modern edge that the band has been incorporating into their sound.

This new release is both more Melodic and Brutal, but the best part is that it sounds like Exodus all the way, no filler songs, no disconnection between track, “Exhibit B: The Human Condition” is a brilliant album from start to end. The listener is in for an impressive Trash Metal riff-a-ton courtesy of Gary Holt and Lee Altus.

Over the years Exodus has created some of the best Trash Metal albums, but recently (in our opinion) the band has been lacking something and released a few sub-par albums, with “Exhibit B” the band is back to the top of it’s game and will surely impress any Trash Metal fan, both old and young.

Featuring 12 songs, this new release covers from Serial Killers, to Reality TV on their songs. A pretty wide variety of subject, but they all come together nicely to describe the human condition. Lyrics aside, this album offers top notch Trash metal that will gain a top 10 spot in almost anybody’s list, for us, it’s now right next to Kaos “The Pits Of Existence” as our top Trash Album of 2010.

As you can expect, if you come to Exodus for well crafted riffs you will get them by the pound in this release. Both Gary Holt and Lee Altus a great guitar players and blow anybody away when it comes to creating guitar driven songs that will stay in your head for days. Rob Dukes finally sounds well incorporated into the band’s sound (one of the reasons we did not liked the band’s albums before this one) and it gives a powerful performance worthy of any top notch Trash Metal record.

One of the things that we find more impressive is that Exodus is playing faster and more complex solos and guitar sections than before, just check out “Beyon The Pale”. The band seems to be getting faster and better with age. Out of all the tracks in this release, we find that there are no filler songs, since each one has its part in this brilliant release that never feels dull.

We are impressed by this album, and surely recognize that Exodus is back in full swing to keep their Trash Metal crown for years to come. We can’t wait to catch the band on a live performance and see all this energy put on stage. This is one of the must buy albums of 2010.
