Dirk Diggler - Dirk Diggler (2010)

Hailing from Israel today we have a very perky porno-grind band called “Dirk Diggler”. While we are not huge fans of gridcore in general, we can recognize when a band is pretty good at creating chaos and decadence with their music and Dirk Diggler excels at this.

Featuring the traditional porn samples, Dirk Diggler blows in your face 14 tracks of crushing gridcore that can be compared to Pig Destroyer, Anal Cunt and similar bands. Track after track the band provides a hefty amount of riffs and bestial vocals to please the most ‘demanding’ fans of the genre.

With all tracks in Hebrew, we can’t really understand what’s going on in terms of the lyrics, but this surely adds to the madness presented by the band. The samples are in English at least and we get a few laughs from them, but the rest is full blown chaos.

The riffs are savage, the drumming is very crushing and the vocals are completely deranged, changing from screams to growls to plain weirdness like on track 11. At the end of things you will be begging for more Dirk Diggler since 20 minutes of pure intensity are just not enough to satisfy the grindcore needs of metalheads.

We are very pleasantly surprised that such a band exists in Israel and has such a commanding attitude; we can’t wait to hear more from this crazy ensemble of musicians.
