Regarde Les Hommes Tomber - Regarde Les Hommes Tomber (2013)

Rounding up our promo package from LADLO productions, today we have another exciting new outfit from France under the moniker Regarde Les Hommes Tomber. With their self-titled debut release, this band manages to blend elements of Neurosis and Amenra and create a very tight and devastating Sludgy Post-Black Metal. If you like heavy and powerful guitars that create a huge wall of sound, Regarde Les Hommes Tomber is the band for you.

With the hypnotic droning of the bands opening track, “Prelude”, we immediately feel their wrath with punishing riffs and skillful drumming. The Post-Rock/Metal elements thrown into the mix really shake things up and keep their sound very fresh. In full Neurosis/Amenra worship mode, “Wanderer of Eternity” delivers a full blast of power in the shape of harsh vocals and solid guitar work, never letting go of their heaviness and brutality.

“Ov Flames, Flesh and Sins” delivers a more timely progression better suited for traditional Sludge tracks, showing the versatility of the band. However, this is not your typical track since the band still manages to go full-speed on several sections in a very savage way. “Sweet Thoughts and Visions” and “Regarde Les Hommes Tomber” are two tracks where the band goes a bit more experimental and allows the music to create very interesting spaces with less intensity and more uncertainty. These last two songs really show that the band has many angles to grow and explore with their sound leaving the door open for endless possibilities in the future.

Ending the release on a high note, “A Thousand Years of Servitude” and “The Fall” deliver more powerful riffs and a very intense tempo that nicely summarizes the release as a whole. In general, the band is super talented and they are not shy about showing it on their debut release. We can highly recommend this album to any fan of Neurosis, Amenra, and similar niche bands that are experts in delivering powerful aural assaults crafted to precision.
